• Are the Reduced Fee Medical Programs Traditional Insurance?
  No. These programs are not traditional Insurance. Each Medical Provider agrees to discount their normal service fees, based on the agreement between the Doctor and the Reduced Fee Medical Program. The patient is responsible for paying the Discounted fee at the time of service. For example, Doctor Jones normally charges $100 for an office visit. He has agreed to discount his office visit fee to members of The Benicard Plan by 50%. Therefore, the patient will pay to Doctor Jones $50 at the time of service.
• Can I use any doctor as a Reduced Fee Medical member. To receive the service fee discounts you are entitled to, you must only use the medical providers who subscribe to the Reduced Fee Medical Provider Network you are a member of. May we suggest that you call the Customer Service Department of the Reduced Fee Medical Program you are a member of prior to making your appointment, to see if your current Medical Provider subscribes to your Reduced Fee Medical Program.
• What if I have a pre-existing condition. Will I be covered? The advantage of Reduced Fee Medical Programs is that they are NOT INSURANCE. They are Reduced fee programs, to allow the patient to receive affordable care from a Subscribing Medical Provider, at a fraction of the monthly cost of Traditional Medical Insurance Therefore, you cannot be turned down.
